Rufus Wainwright does it again!!!!
thursday morning , Preston is home sick and watching tv, im at the computer doing some drawing and listening to Rufus Wainwright's new album..."release the stars"...and i love it ...now im a big fan of his already but he has outdone himself , i think a big part of this was being the producer this time around, able to get exactly his vision directly. from "going to a town"..to" between my legs"( a personal favorite of mine) hes brilliant. In my opinion this is better than his last 2 albums, each song seems to harness his emotion and haunting vocals so well , it will be hard to top next time around, now all thats left is for him to release his judy garland concert and ill be satisfied.

How to stop an explosive show!
It has been a long journey since i watched in awe as the first episode of Heroes played out before my eyes last september, and what a journey it was. Never has a television show stirred up such a following , in myself as well as world wide. I must admit as i sit here drinking from my official heroes mug that yes i am a bit obsessed, but its worth it.
The season finale of heroes, did what i thought it would, bring the first chapter to a close, leaving us satisfied but wanting to continue our journey. The writers have crafted a real sci-fi show with actual real people, they do not behave like cartoons or comic book characters, much do the dissapointment to the immature fanboys everywhere(im a regular at the nbc messege boards so i see those fools alot).
as i await the dvds in august i recall some of the special moments...the first time we saw nathan petrelli fly..wow!..or when while watching i realized what peters ability was! as did so many, tearing up for claire and her father, knowing how much he cared for her....and for those who know...the petrelli campaign call i got just an hour before the show a couple of weeks ago....what a show...what a show.

Company Man
What can i say this show just keeps getting better. Its almost painful waiting each week for the next episode but millions of us do. Company man by far was oone of the best written...it was sad, we found out a lot about claire's father and what his motivation was..i say was because i believe that his motivation changed after becoming a parent....i cant wait to find out more of HRG's story and i await the reunion with claire...hopefully next season, but i fear it wont be a pleasant reunion.

Brokeback Mountain
well we finally saw it ....it was our duty and part of the rules so we went on the west side of Cleveland to a place called crocker park...we went with another couple Candace and John , we love them.....Anyway it was soo cold ...earlier in the day wasnt too bad but by the time we got there it had to be 10 below......and we were hungry...but of course we got there too late....half hour wait here , forty-five minute wait there...so we ran to subway and ate quickly...ran back for the movie. The theater was packed....i was trying not to get pissy. when i go see a movie , especially one i want to see, i like to get there on time....get good seats...and watch the prievews..well ill settle for 2 out of 3.
The seats werent all that bad they were down front but it wasnt looking straight up. Now on to the review, The movie was great, other than the unrealistic saliva moment early on in the film it was pretty believable . the acting was nothing short of oscar worthy especially Heath Ledger, he became Ennis and Ennis was a torturd soul, wanting to be happy but not knowing how he never could. Jake Gyllenhall played Jack with an innocence, mixed with recklessness...he was after all a rodeo cowboy always trying to tame the ride he had gotten on but never really staying on for too long, but he kept trying and thats what mattered. Ang lee did an amzing job as always and deserves all the praise. My only complaint was that i was expecting...even hoping for a real tear jerker, maybe thats why i didnt but it didnt grab me and make me weep like i wanted it to. but all in all a wonderful movie...its a shame we still live in times of ignorance and prejudice, but im not going to get into that...anyway its a monumental picture and deserves at the very least an open mind and open heart, because no matter how you look at it its a story of love and nothing is more powerful than that.

"Happy....oh forget it"
Well the holidays have come and gone thank goodness...for some reason i was soooo stressed out this year and thats never happened before. There was a lot of uneccesary crap going on !!!!!...but all in all i had a good time.We all got what we wanted from santa..well cortney wanted some things that he couldnt have but he dealt with it. We hosted christmas...Preston and I, we cooked and entertained his entire family ..it went really well. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We made some appearences at friends houses and this past week was just a chill week , we had the boys ( cortneys cousins james and jeremy) overnight a few times which was good. But now that its all over i can try to keep a regular schedule on this blog and also try to get more work for myself...im kinda talented you know.

It was a quiet day in our home , Preston and i out did ourselves with the food, we had an intimate dinner just the three of us Cortney said a prayer and we ate ...slept...ate some more then watched War of the Worlds...which i thought was excellent. Tom cruise did a great job as did evryone invovled ....spielburgh got soft in the end though ...the son should have died...but all in all a good choice for that evening.

Shadow of the Colossus
what can i sauy but wow!!!..the amazing team behind the amzing game I C O has come out with their new masterpiece....it is unrivaled in its artistic beauty and gameplay elements . you play as a young man who's love has died . To bring her back he must destroy the 16 colossi that inhabit the land, WHat a bueatiful land it is.... misty lakes sweeping hills , underground temples...green forests, its all here, but the best part are the colossi themselves. Huge is an understatement the picture here to your right is no joke...the little guy on the horse is you and you must find a way to climb your way to the weakpoints of these giants to take them down. i almost feel a bit sorry for them sometimes as they look at you with a curious innocence . ans as you stab them and they bleed and thrash around to knock you off..but the game is fantastic...my only complaint is ive beaten 7 so far and they all have been fairly easy. I hope more challenges are to come ....2 more games to buy on my ps2 before i await the ps3. kingdom hearts 2 and final fantasy 12.......oh what a great time to love games.

rodney and antonio
My friends from pittsburgh came to visit this weekend. Two of them and they arrived friday evening and stayed untill sunday evening. Now having lived with them for years when i lived in pittsburgh i must say that they havent changed a bit...which is good and bad at the same time. We ate, laughed and talked about old times, we had fun. They got a chance to see me as i live. The house, all the stuff that goes on here.It was good to see them. i have one complaint...the both of them , for some reason love to get into arguments with each other about things that they think they are both right about...so they argue like an old couple..ALL THE TIME!!! Rodney is all loud and doesnt realize it while antonio is narcoleptic but i wont tell anyone..... One thing i hope they take from visiting is to both get their acts together and start acheiving some goals....stop the get rich quick crap..and start to work torward something...you cant depend on others and watch Anime forever... one day you'll have to actually do something. On another note congrats to me for landing a job with Corgi-classics, a model company in chicago, im designing marvel superhero statues for them...and i love it .

And my PS2 looks amazing and sounds wow!!!!.....but i still have to widdle down to at least 3 remotes instead of the five we got now, its a tough job but i can handle it. I know to some it sounds a bit much but i love my movies and games so for me its the best thing to enjoy them in the best possible way..well im off to watch Aliens again......."Game Over Man!"..never sounded so good.

comedy night!!!!
So preston and i had tickets to the Improv here in cleveland on tuesday. He wants to get out more so i says ok lets go. We arrived on time sat down at out dimly lit table and tried to find prices for the appetizers on the menu...too dark. The first "guy" ...i refuse to call him a comedian...gets up there, and is... horrible. He continues to check his watch throughout his horrible bits about things weve all heard from other comedians, he was a fat guy, but even now in our accepting society thats not that funny anymore. As he checks his watch i check the menu.."how much are the hot wings"? The waitress comes over....guy on stage is fat yeah yeah ..."how much are the wings waitress lady?"....."Order of wings for you two?"...she darts off into the darkness before we could stop her. So the bartender who thinks he's funny gets off the stage and introduces some other guy who has played at colleges!!!....ooooh! he must be good. "Preston where are you i cant see its soo dark, how much do you think the wings were?"....Now i must say this guy was funnier, then again tapioca is funnier than the first guy . You can tell right off that this guy is just a funnier guy in life..looks funny , acts funny , but after 10 minutes not that funny. I smell something and i notice a plate of 7 small....ok pigeon hot wings.... have appeared on the table. Brought in the cover of darkness by a ninja who must be wearing night vision goggles, as i eat one i wonder how much they are. Ok its headliner time..oh boy im ready, this pigeon is scrumptious. So on wobbles a little guy in a flanel short sleeve shirt and a baseball cap, holding a beer. He starts off very funny, he appears to be a redneck country guy making observations...and he starts off great . Preston is laughing...loudly...he likes the rednecks..but then it takes a wierd turn..he starts sweating really badly and seems flustered...and then dead silence..hes staring at the audience and just loses what he was talking about, he mumbles but doesnt really say anything..it was bad i felt sorry for him..well not really....Check please!!!.paid for our pigeon and we decided it was time to make a break for it...and like a WWII POW rescue we snuck out of there in the cover of darkness. bombs going off all around us, we made it out alive..but we still have no idea what we paid for the bird.

Joy part 2

okokok i couldnt help myself, this shot is from the Detroit Free Press....anyway where did i leave off oh yes.. Anita finished her set and said goodbye to us ...but we all knew she wasnt done, she probably went back to check on her boys , just like a mom, and she came back out and talked a bit and took requests from the audience...now at this poit some poeople who sat in front of us left aso there was an open area of us and the stage , so as she was asking what to sing next Preston Stands up and she clearly sees him and he says"Lead me into love"...his favorite song...shes says .."yeah ok (pointing at him)...how does it go she was thinking ..and preston stands up again and shouted the first couple of words and she says "yeah thats it"....it was hysterical. She ended with my favorite of hers "you Bring me joy"...so we stood around a minute after the concert but Preston and the others from the website had a goal...GET BACK STAGE.....ok im thinking there is no way thats gonna happen...so i waited a bit away from the enterence to backstage where people who had passes got through..and i see the group slowly go IN!!!..ok now im thinking im screwed so i called preston and said you need to come up and get me..well not as nice . THey didnt let me through no matter what i said and thats their job good for them...bastards. So finally the guard got a call to let me in . Down some stair sand around a trailer a patio was there set up with tables and umbrellas. we sat at a table and awaited her to come over . When she noticed us she jokingly scolded."how did you get back here"......she was doing a fundrasier for a local church and we waitied patiently for her to finis. She came over to talk a bit and she recognized some of the girls from the website and she acknowledged preston from during the show , she even talked to me about the drawing you see up there, she gave prestonand i a hug and kiss and that was our que to go, and we did . it was great....later on thet night i won $200 dollars at the mgm casino WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

You Bring Me Joy Part 1
Yes ladies and gentleman that is me giving anita baker a drawing i did of her during the concert........READY Here we go
Preston and i arrived in detroit and checked in to our hotel and had time to kill so we went over to canada..why?..i ask myself the same question evrytime we go, its really not worth the hassle at the borders to go to a country that looks like it just entered the nineties, but anyway. We changed at the hotel and went to eat something before the concert..Max&Erma graciously accepted us into their home. We arrived at the venue and met up with preston's online anita baker fanatics and we all talked and headed inside. We got to our seats which were very close, about 4 rows back , right in the center from the stage..now usually there is some space between the first row and the stage right...not here if you were in the front row( which some of the internet girls were)..you were looking at anitas feet..literally. Most of us were in the same row which was great for me because i had one of them screaming like a girl on my right and a girl screaming on my left (Preston sat to my right if you didnt pick that up). We chit-chatted with the people around us, the audience was made up of everyone possible , young, old, all nationalities, then the lights dimmed ans the band began to play . Anita came out like she does, and began to serenade us with that beautiful voice which still hasn't lost any of its magic. We were so close , she was literally right in front of us singing, Preston twiching with awe was ready. He had bought flowers for her and proceeded to go to the stage to give them . Now Anita is always open to gifts during her concert so evrytime we see her people gave her things and we figured this was our turn...so she knelt down and talked with Preston , said his name in the mic and told him to turn around and wave ..which is what hes always wanted..he was in heaven. My oppurtunity came a bit later i worked up the nerve to get up there and present her my gift. She loved it and asked meif i drew it, i said yes and she asked me my name and made me say it into the microphone, "Scott" i said ...it came out deeper than i wanted but hey. She then said a gracious thank you to which i replied "no thank you " . She then proceeded to wow us again with more of her songs,........Part 2 "saga of the back stage caper" coming later

well its Wednesday morning and things have calmed down in life finally , I was sick the week of my babcii's funeral and had went to the doctor before leaving Cleveland to go home, and was given an antibiotic for my troubles. What didn't help was my parents house which housed about 4 cats. a new puppy and my older sister's ( who stayed with us during all the services for convenience) big hairy dog...so I was basically coated with a layer of dog and cat hair throughout my entire stay. Growing up we had cats and dogs and most importantly PROBLEMS BREATHING..now my mother still wakes up and does a daily routine of hacking, coughing and what not to clear the animal hair from her innards. Having lived away for a long time now my breathing difficulties which ranged from asthma to lung infections to general allergies all cleared up id say a year after i moved out..and have been fine since....maybe it had something to do with the animals?...YOU THINK?...now having said that, my older sister and her husband both suffer from chronic allergies, asthma and take medications of all sorts....THEY HAVE
CATS AND A BIG HAIRY FRIGG'N DOG!!!...in there humble abode with a hitch. Now I point blank said.."You know most of the both of your problems would clear up if you got rid of your animals and any carpet in the place"...Oh the look of absolute evil I got when I suggested even a hint of them feeling a hell of a whole lot better if the "godlike' animals were gotten rid of. I enjoyed seeing all of my family again ..All my cousins who like me have escaped out of state, I may elaborate more on a later blog..but ill leave you with this...as we were getting into the car to go to the church on the last day (catholic funerals last for about a month) I noticed m older sister was covered in dog hair..i said "look at all the hair on you "..she said "so ,im proud of my dog"...that you are you big hary weezing fool..that you are.

eggs in the bacon grease
this past Saturday I lost my grandmother. I shouldn't say lost cause she still here with me , but she passed on . She was ill for a while, and over the past couple of years , just got worse and worse. Me living in Ohio I wasn't a witness to her deterioration first hand , and for some reason I am glad. The memories I have, and the memories I like to keep are nowhere near her lying in a hospital bed, or her not knowing who I am due to dementia. We called her Babcci (bob-chi) I guess its a polish word for grandmother.I Remember her as a very strong woman , she worked very hard all her life and raised 4 children, always doing for the familyon holidays and occasions cooking and cleaning. MY memories are of when I lived at home long ago and almost every Saturday my dad and I would go over my grandparents house to do some work, whether it was mowing all the grass or helping my grandfather do something handy. My dad and my granpa would have some coffee and go out and start and my gramma would make me breakfast. She would cook me some bacon and when that was done she would drop some eggs in the bacon grease and cook them till they were done. But she would leave them in until the grease had crisped the sides and bottom of the egg , after she was done she would sit with me while I ate and those were the moments I remember. Those moments just the two of us , goodbye babcii, I love you
